2 more weeks have passed???

Has it really been another 2 weeks since my last post??? Time really is flying. I feel like it's a totally different time period right now. Golf season is officially over, for me anyway. I played my last few scramble events and cleaned out my car. It feels like it is 3 times as big without all my golf stuff in it. I was able to play lots of rounds this season. I played my last 2 rounds with my dad's irons. My stepmom let me have them when he passed. I hit the ball really well with them. I might have to keep them in the bag to start next season and see how they do. Fall is officially here. It's feeling more and more like jeans and sweatshirt weather which is my favorite time of the year. I love summer but for some reason I really enjoy the first bit of fall where it's still warm but also cool at the same time. I took my CISSP certification exam 2 weeks ago and I PASSED!! I am very happy because now I don't have to study it anymore. I can go back to learning Python ...

Another day, another $1.37 (before taxes of course)

Back in the office today. I was out last Thurs and Fri for a few appointments and just some me time away from my monitor. It was nice to not have to worry about work for a bit. Thankfully I wasn't on call and didn't have to make arrangements for that. It's been very rainy here lately. Normally that would suck but it's been very very dry here so the rain was badly needed. Haven't been able to play much golf lately but have started reading more.  Right now I am reading the Dr. Kay Scarpetta series by Patricia Cornwell as well as the series of Dr. Alexandra Blake by Lori Andrews. I am very fascinated by medical examiners. The Dr. Blake series is more about an epidemiologist than a ME but it's very good so far. The series is only about 3 books long and I am on book 2. The Dr. Scarpetta series is 25 books long so I will be reading that for a few months. Which is okay with me because I'm through book 3 and it is awesome so far! When I was younger I wanted to becom...

Vacation days rule!

I am off work today and tomorrow. I have a medical appointment today and figured as long as I was taking today off might as well take tomorrow and make along weekend out of it. Not looking forward to the medical appointment though. Every time I go I get bad news about something or other. Everything else is the same. Work is work. I'm reading a new series now from Patricia Cornwell. She has a 25-book series about a medical examiner character named Kay Scarpetta and so far it is good. I'm 2 books in and so far it is really good. She has a good writing style and I am fascinated by forensic pathology-type books and characters. I am starting book 3 today. Golf season is wrapping up. We haven't played in over a week due to weather. We've got one more event left on 23rd and then I am putting my clubs away for the season. I also have my CISSP exam on 17th. I'm starting to up my study time this week while I am off for a final learning push. Fingers crossed I do okay. Other...
